Dr. Ian Tydeman

A graduate of Oregon Health & Science University’s Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program, Dr. Ian Tydeman is a member of a number of professional and continuing education organizations. A native Oregonian, Dr. Tydeman attended Lakeridge High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Puget Sound. After college, Dr. Tydeman volunteered in hospitals in India and performed infectious disease research at Oregon Health & Science University before becoming a dentist. Dr. Tydeman enjoys traveling, fishing, backpacking, collecting old Land Rovers, and spending time with his wife and three sons.

Dr. Sheeva Azimi

Dr. Sheeva Azimi was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor’s degree in biology and then received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University in 2011. Dr. Azimi’s focus is on providing excellent dental care and making each experience as comfortable and painless as possible. She believes in a preventive and educational approach to dental care along with helping her patients achieve and maintain dental health for life. Dr. Azimi is trained in using state-of-the-art technologies and treating complex cosmetic cases, including veneers, crowns, implants, and bridges. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys the bounty of living in the Northwest — whether on a hike, out skiing, or cheering on the Blazers with her husband and son.

Dr. Brad Mayerle

After earning his DMD degree from Oregon Health & Science University in 1990, Dr. Brad Mayerle completed a two‑year residency in general dentistry at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Mayerle is passionate about the field of sleep, the effects of sleep and lack of sleep on the body, and dental solutions to improve sleep disorders. He recently completed the dental sleep medicine residency at UCLA and has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education on the subject. Dr. Mayerle grew up in Medford, Oregon, attended Lewis & Clark College, and now resides in Lake Oswego with his wife and daughter. Dr. Mayerle loves the coast, chasing fish (especially steelhead), and tying flies.

Dr. Brad Mayerle retired from general dentistry in March 2021 but is still active in sleep medicine.

Jenny

Jenny is our Practice Director with a passion for the dental industry! She knows how to connect with her patients, doctors, and team members. Jenny prides herself in making a difference in the lives of those she serves and positively influencing the standard of care for lifetime dentistry. In Jenny's free time, she likes to cook and bake for her family while daydreaming about their next visit to Disneyland!

Tonya

Tonya earned her dental hygiene degree from the University of New Haven in Connecticut and has worked in private practice for 12 years. A Pacific Northwest native, Tonya enjoys the outdoors, traveling, trips to the beach, watching Oregon Ducks football, and dancing.

Carissa

Carissa was born and raised in St. Helens, Oregon. She received her Dental Hygiene degree from the Oregon Institute of Technology in 2011. After spending several years in Las Vegas, Carissa and her husband recently moved back to the Pacific Northwest and are settling into their new home. Carissa enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Katrina

One of the skilled and knowledgeable dental assistants at Mayerle + Tydeman Dental, Katrina received her dental assisting certification through Concorde Career College in 2012. In her free time, she enjoys camping with her husband and daughter.

Danette

An Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) for 20 years, Danette has a background in cosmetic and general dentistry. She enjoys getting to know patients and creating beautiful smiles. In her free time, she loves to cook with her husband and be outdoors—especially if she’s paddle-boarding or mountain biking.

Gwen

Born and raised on the Oregon Coast, Gwen lived in Utah with her family for 23 years before recently relocating back to Oregon. She has been a practicing hygienist for 38 years. When not looking at teeth, she enjoys doing anything outdoors!

Kathy

Kathy has been working as a front office financial coordinator for the past 13 years. Born and raised in Southern California, she decided to move to Oregon to pursue her dream of being a hygienist. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and long walks down the makeup aisle.

Porscha

Porscha was born and raised on the Oregon Coast. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls and has been a hygienist for a little over 10 years. She enjoys helping people not only reach their personal oral health goals but improve their overall health. Outside of work, Porscha loves hiking, working out, fishing, and being a wonderful aunt to her niece and nephew.

Angie

Angie realized she had a passion for the dental field at a young age and graduated from Cambridge college in 2007 as an Expanded Functions Dental assistant. Angie enjoys doing her absolute best to help patients become comfortable and educated on their dental needs. Outside of the office, Angie enjoys listening to music, taking photos, keeping active, and spending time with her family.
