After earning his DMD degree from Oregon Health & Science University in 1990, Dr. Brad Mayerle completed a two‑year residency in general dentistry at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Mayerle is passionate about the field of sleep, the effects of sleep and lack of sleep on the body, and dental solutions to improve sleep disorders. He recently completed the dental sleep medicine residency at UCLA and has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education on the subject. Dr. Mayerle grew up in Medford, Oregon, attended Lewis & Clark College, and now resides in Lake Oswego with his wife and daughter. Dr. Mayerle loves the coast, chasing fish (especially steelhead), and tying flies.
A graduate of Oregon Health & Science University’s Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program, Dr. Ian Tydeman is a member of a number of professional and continuing education organizations. A native Oregonian, Dr. Tydeman attended Lakeridge High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Puget Sound. After college, Dr. Tydeman volunteered in hospitals in India and performed infectious disease research at Oregon Health & Science University before becoming a dentist. Dr. Tydeman enjoys traveling, fishing, backpacking, collecting old Land Rovers, and spending time with his wife and three sons.
Barb joined Mayerle + Tydeman Dental in 2011. Her career in the dental field has included many different roles, including teaching dental assisting at PCC and Benson High School. Barb enjoys spending her free time with her family and traveling.
Tonya earned her dental hygiene degree from the University of New Haven in Connecticut and has worked in private practice for 12 years. A Pacific Northwest native, Tonya enjoys the outdoors, traveling, trips to the beach, watching Oregon Ducks football, and dancing.
Originally from Corvallis, Oregon, Nicole has assisted oral surgeons, cosmetic dentists, and general dentists for 18 years. When she’s not at work, Nicole spends much of her free time on basketball courts and soccer fields with her son and daughter.
Wendy began working as a dental assistant in 2001. She received her dental assisting certification through PCC and enjoys working with and learning from the Mayerle + Tydeman Dental team. In her spare time, Wendy enjoys family getaways to central Oregon and camping around the Northwest.
Rochelle was born and raised in Medford, Oregon. She received her dental hygiene degree from Mt. Hood Community College in 2014. Shortly afterward, she and her husband celebrated their wedding in Cancun, Mexico. They recently purchased their first home. She loves being an aunt, traveling, and staying active.
Kayla has been working as a patient coordinator since 2014. In 2015, she graduated from Portland State University, where she played on the softball team and majored in communication and business administration. Originally from sunny Southern California, Kayla now resides in Portland with her fiancé, Kevin, puppy, Tank, and cat, Simba. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys watching movies, camping, hiking, and spending time with her friends and fiancé.
Carly is one of the skilled and knowledgeable dental hygienists at Mayerle + Tydeman Dental. She began working in the field as a dental assistant in 2004, then continued her education at the Oregon Institute of Technology. She graduated in 2009 with a degree in dental hygiene. She takes pride in patient care and continuing education. Carly lives in West Linn with her husband, Garrett, and son, Brooks. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and home remodeling.
Stephanie has been working as a dental assistant since 2011, after graduating from CNM in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In that time, she has had the opportunity to work in endodontics, oral surgery, and general dentistry. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three girls, eating pizza and watching movies (like the Star Wars trilogies).
Carissa was born and raised in St. Helens, Oregon. She received her Dental Hygiene degree from the Oregon Institute of Technology in 2011. After spending several years in Las Vegas, Carissa and her husband recently moved back to the Pacific Northwest and are settling into their new home. Carissa enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Sheryl started her career as a dental assistant before earning her Bachelor of Science degree at the Oregon Institute of Technology. She and her husband have resided in the Portland/Lake Oswego area for the last 20 years, where they have raised two amazing teens. You can often find them watching a lacrosse game or having a “van life” adventure!
An Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) for 20 years, Danette has a background in cosmetic and general dentistry. She enjoys getting to know patients and creating beautiful smiles. In her free time, she loves to cook with her husband and be outdoors—especially if she’s paddle-boarding or mountain biking.
